Around the World with Wendy Zaro: benefitting the Prescott Noon Lions Club & Guide Dogs for the Blind Programs
January 2 – February 14
Wendy was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1939. She married twice, had no children, and owned her own graphic design business in Manhattan.
Following her retirement, she moved to her beloved Prescott, AZ in 2004. Wendy then became an intrepid world traveler and captured her adventures through photography which she later transformed into vivid oil paintings.
She never sold her paintings, as she considered them her children. Before she passed away in 2017, she willed her paintings to Mike Hayden, who promised he would use them to raise money to fund the training of a service dog for the blind through his Prescott Noon Lions Club. As per her wish, 100% of the proceeds will go to the cause.
