“Art Connects: To Earth * To Nature * To People” Mary Kaye O’Neill, Linda Scott and Sherri Curtis
4th Friday Art Walk reception with Mary Kaye, Linda and Sherri and live music by the Jo B and Walton Trio
November 24 and December 22 5:00 – 7:00 PM
Jo B & Walton Trio feature singer-songwriter Jo Berger on guitar and vocals, instrumentalist Walton Mendelson on the unique and eclectic electronic wind instrument (EWI), and Steve Farina on percussion. Together they create original music rooted in the folk traditions of the West infused with a splash of jazz, a touch of swing, and a bit of the blues.
The connection that ART makes transcends all boundaries of time and space.
In this show, we want to showcase and spotlight our connections: between family/friends, our natural world and people of different cultures. Our ode to hope is for this to be a celebration of all that we share and our commitment to a better world through the garments and adornments we choose, both upcycled and hand painted originals.

Mary Kaye O’Neill
Mary Kaye O’Neill has been painting silk and designing wearables for about ten years; each of her creations is one of a kind and expresses the natural world as she sees and feels it through color, texture and movement. About four years ago she began trying her hand at wall art, finding she could be more playful with the medium and use music as inspiration as well. Prior to silk, she created jewelry for over 20 years but has finally walked away from that and is focusing her attention on color and textures. I have lots of degrees, none of which is in Art; I have gotten my training through classes targeted to what I wanted to learn. thelaughingiraffe.com (928-710-0570)
Linda Scott
Trained in psychology and acupuncture, Linda enjoys making connections between different experiences she has known, especially traveling and meeting people of different countries and cultures. For this show, she is exploring the modalities of wearable art and jewelry to provide you with items that are often very practical and also beautiful.
