Making Our Mark

February 25 - March 24, 2026

The “Making Our Mark 2026” exhibition showcases contemporary printmaking, an art form that incorporates diverse techniques such as woodcut, engraving, etching, screen-printing, and lithography. Depending on the artwork, the artist may utilize digital printing technology or employ traditional printing presses.

Additional techniques featured include woodcut, one of the earliest and most straightforward printmaking methods, which involves carving an image into a wooden block; linocut, which utilizes a layer of linoleum typically mounted on a wooden block; intaglio, a technique that employs an image cut into a plate surface; engraving, a method that uses a metal plate; etching, which employs acid to create an image on a metal plate coated with an acid-resistant medium; and stenciling, a process that involves printing through openings in a material or a cutout design.

Stained Glass by
Kerry Carrillo and Laurie Silver

For more than four decades, Kerry Carrillo has explored the expressive possibilities of stained glass, moving fluidly between representational imagery and bold abstraction. Her work is united by a fearless use of color and a strong graphic sensibility that transforms light into a livingmedium.

Continuum reflects the ongoing journey of an artist deeply committed to her craft, while also celebrating the growth of new voices in stained glass. Kerry is joined by her student Laurie Silver, whose work brings fresh perspective and energy to the exhibition. Together, their pieces speak to the flow of time, the persistence of tradition, and the everrenewing dialogue between glass, color, and light.

The show honors stained glass not as a static art form, but as a continuum—an evolving practice that bridges past and present, teacher and student, artist and viewer.
