Join in the Gelli Printing craze and create your own papers to use in collages, journals, altered books, cards, tags, and more.

You will learn how to prepare the Gelli Plate, choose aints and stencils, and make a series of prints that will be unique and fun. We will even use some household objects such as bubble wrap and jar lids to create interesting patterns.

Let’s create new journals from old books! This is a wonderful way to create something wonderful from what could become a landfill.

Using a hard-covered book, you will learn how to deconstruct it successfully by removing the text block. You will then reinforce the spine and create signatures (groups of papers to form the pages) using a variety of papers. Once that’s finished, decide how to organize your pages, and we will discuss the various options. Using some book-binding tools, I
will show you how to stitch in the signatures and create the inside covers.

Bring a hard-cover book, around 5″ x 8″, with a spine no wider than 1.5″. Choose a
book whose cover you like; we will leave them as they are.

I love making these master boards, using various papers and paints, stamps and stencils, doodles and marks. I will show you how to create your own unique collage on a large piece of paper.

After adding several layers, and once your board is finished, we will then use some templates to make bookmarks, tags, and cards. Or artwork to hang on your wall.
