From May 22 through June 24, 2025, the ‘Tis Art Center and Gallery in historic downtown Prescott will present “Journeys in Spirit”: Traditional and Contemporary Native Art.
Produced in partnership with the Museum of Indigenous Peoples, along with additional support from the City of Prescott and the Prescott Area Arts and Humanities Council, this captivating exhibit will highlight the artwork, culture, and stories of a diverse group of Native artists.
Participants can meet the artists at Prescott’s 4th Friday Art Walk on May 23, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Native artists featured in “Journeys in Spirit” come from diverse backgrounds and cultures, some residing within their tribal communities and others living outside them. The exhibit will showcase various styles and mediums, from traditional works to contemporary forms such as painting and photography. As they explore the captivating artwork on display in “Journeys in Spirit,” attendees will gain insights into the lives of the artists and the cultures and narratives of their tribes.
