The ‘Tis Art Center & Gallery:
Two contemporary art galleries inside the beautifully restored 1893 Knights of Pythias Building.
Showcasing art by Prescott area artists, the ‘Tis Art Center and Gallery is conveniently located across from Prescott’s Courthouse Plaza.
Unlike conventional art galleries, the ‘Tis galleries feature affordable fine art paintings, photography, and sculpture, all displayed in museum-style fashion. Inside the Main Gallery, you will find some of the state’s most beautiful handcrafted jewelry and wearable art.
Artist receptions occur on the 4th Friday of every month in conjunction with Prescott’s 4th Friday Art Walk and coincide with the opening of our new monthly show in the Main Gallery.

Stained Glass by
Kerry Carrillo and Laurie Silver
For more than four decades, Kerry Carrillo has explored the expressive possibilities of stained glass, moving fluidly between representational imagery and bold abstraction. Her work is united by a fearless use of color and a strong graphic sensibility that transforms light into a livingmedium.
Continuum reflects the ongoing journey of an artist deeply committed to her craft, while also celebrating the growth of new voices in stained glass. Kerry is joined by her student Laurie Silver, whose work brings fresh perspective and energy to the exhibition. Together, their pieces speak to the flow of time, the persistence of tradition, and the everrenewing dialogue between glass, color, and light.
The show honors stained glass not as a static art form, but as a continuum—an evolving practice that bridges past and present, teacher and student, artist and viewer.

Procedure for submitting artwork at 'Tis
The procedure for entering artwork for consideration at ‘Tis Gallery is as follows:
Please email us with JPEG images of your artwork or bring in a portfolio of your pieces. Include the title, media, size, and price. When pricing work, please consider that our commission charged to artists is only 10% and that part of the ‘Tis mission is “to provide affordable local art to the public.” Please remember to include your contact information (phone and email). We do not mail portfolios back to artists; you are responsible for picking up your portfolio.
It is not important to submit a bio with your artwork. However, we like to keep a bio on file once your work is in the gallery. Many of our customers request one. Simple bios are preferred, not one written as a resume.
After our curator reviews your images/portfolios, we will contact you to see if they are interested in displaying your work. We will then discuss the gallery schedule and the procedure for bringing work for a new show.
Notes:
- According to the ‘Tis Gallery mission statement, an artist must live in the Prescott area to qualify for consideration.
- We have new shows each month, and a “Call for Artists” is emailed to those artists whose work is appropriate for that show.
- Photography and other wall art will not be in the same show.
- The curator asks that you not submit a) traditional southwest art, b) traditional landscapes, c) art in overly ornate frames, d) unfinished canvases, e) proselytizing religious subject matter, f) erotica or g) art created for student assignments.
It is important to note that all policies and procedures at the ‘Tis Gallery are subject to change.
Thank you for your interest in showing your work at the ‘Tis Gallery.
